Daily when I drive on 395 heading north I always pass this advertisement for the Grand Sierra Resort (formally the Hilton,) and can’t help to think “is that the best they could do?” I mean there new logo is just, blah. Its unrecognizable from a distance, its hard to read close up, and I can’t image how difficult it is to design around. Their designs for redeveloping the resort were awe inspiring, and very interesting to look at while eating at the dining table eating from my favorite box of coco crisps, and reading the paper. I always wondered, and I think Reno still wonders, “are they really going to do that? All of that?” Anyways back to the logo, I’m hoping, no I’m praying that they redesign it in some way.

Each person I talk about agrees with me 100%. They are not in favor of the new logo. Its just not something Reno likes.

So if any marketing person at the GSR is reading this posting… please for the love of god, hire someone to redesign that thing.
